MARKDALE, Ontario (March 15, 2011)—ForeWord Reviews is pleased to announce the 2010 Book of the Year Awards list of finalists. Representing more than 350 publishers, the finalists were selected from 1,400 entries in 56 categories. These books are examples of independent publishing at its finest.
Reel Characters is a finalist for the 2010 Book of the Year Awards in the Reference category.
Reel Characters was written as a reference guide to help create dramatic character make-up. If budget and production value are a concern, this book will help to enhance them both.
Author Randy Daudlin has been working in the film and television industry as a professional make-up artist for over 26 years, and has taught as an instructor at both colleges and private institutions. This is Daudlin's second book, following Hurt 'Em Reel Good—A Quick Reference for Out of Kit Make-up Effects.
ForeWord Reviews' Book of the Year Awards program was established to help publishers shine an additional spotlight on their best titles and bring increased attention to librarians and booksellers of the literary and graphic achievements of independent publishers and their authors.
